Inherited Family Traits?
*Advanced Photography* For this project I wanted again to be more personal to my viewers but also relate to them. I focused on photograph my family, but only the women on my mothers side of the family. Each generation of family inherits something from the generation before. For me I went with the women because there are so many of us. I started with my grandmother, her daughters, and then the grand-daughters. I just wanted to do faces to see what each of us has inherited from each other or even what differences we have. Eventually I would like to expand the project to include my grandmothers sons, and of course the spouses of her daughters and their sons. I would also like to do this project with my fathers side of the family. It is interesting how we inherit traits from different family members regardless of what we have inherited from our parents. So enjoy the project.

Advanced Porject #2 Open Theme

This project I have focused on domestic chores around the house. It centers on the idea that when I moved in with my boyfriend Kevin of a year, I felt more domesticated. For my part I felt that I became a house wife, doing all the house work; the cooking, cleaning, and the laundry. While Kevin, got to do what ever he wanted to do, whether it be playing video games, reading or even sleeping. I feel that since I have moved in I do a lot of what a 50s house wife would be doing, and Kevin gets a more relaxed day.

Knowing Place
This project was all about going to one spot, once a week and photographing it in different ways. It is interesting what you can photograph in one place, over a period of time. Each time I went to this spot I found something more interesting then the last time I was there.

Photo Date #5
My last Photo Date assignment, I wanted to get more personal, but about me and my life. I have recently moved in with my boyfriend, and it has been an adjustment for me mainly because I have never been away from home like this. Well not in a sense of living with someone else. I lived on campus before but I was also still living at home. This is something new for me to explore and find out if I can handle being away from my parents home. So in doing this photo shoot, I wanted to capture the things that are different about me and my boyfriend, and the things that I have started to take over. A his -vs- her idea with a twist to it.

Photo Date #4
For this photo date I decided to get a little more personal, and I photographed some family. My Uncle Chuck is not as capable as he used to be when he was younger. His health conditions restrain him from doing certain activities and even chores. I found out that he was getting a new roof put on his house, and it is a major task that he could not do alone. His sons and grandsons, my cousins, all came out to help put up his new roof. It has occurred to me that in great times of need family is always there to help no matter what the situation, good or bad. Family does not leave you behind.

Photo Date #3
For the third Photo Date assignment, I was at Cedar Point. What I came up with was an idea to photograph rides that people ride that they show fear to, yet they still continue to ride. It is as if that ride give them a rush of adrenalin, and they momentarily forget that they fear this thing, this ride that they have chosen to get on. I choose the Ferris wheel because as a rider it is not a continues ride but a ride that slowly takes you higher and higher and then stops. So as the rider you are up high, and most people are afraid of heights.

Photo Date #2
For my second photo date I decided to photograph Semi Trucks. Why, you might ask, well because my father has been a truck driver for the past 18 years; ever since he got out of the Army. Semi Trucks are transportation for all sorts of goods. They transport food, clothes, and many more things that we use everywhere in the United States. Trucks provide a service that many people today take for granted because they do not know the life of a truck driver or their truck. The drivers could be over the road drivers where they are only home for maybe a week our of every month or even less, or they could be week to week truckers where they are home on weekends and our the rest of the week. Semi Trucks are our nations means of transporting goods that provide the necessities of our everyday existence.

Advanced Photo "Photo Date"
For this assignment, we had to make a photo date with ourselves and just go out and take photos. The idea behind the project is to create work to help keep me focused on photography. It is also to help keep the creative juices flowing so as not to become blocked when working on a project. Out of this photo date I have photographed around my new home, at the fair and in Columbiana. These are the images that I got mainly around my house, so these two images represent things that are lost, and forgotten. There have not been any children around the house in quite some time, yet there is still reminisce of them being here.
